Melinda Mason graduated from Woodbridge Business Institute and majored in Accounting. She then continued her education at Wor-Wic Community College. Melinda has a strong background in Accounting and Human Relations. She joined Affordable Bookkeeping Corporation in 2004.
In 1977, Joyce graduated and began working for an accounting firm, Holloway, Gordy & Bounds which later became CW Amos & Company. Joyce stayed here for 7 years before going to Alarmguard, a security company, in 1984. While at Alarmguard Joyce oversaw the opening of 9 different account departments in different offices throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Long Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts. Joyce was also responsible for standardizing systems and procedures across all offices. She trained the accounting staff, teaching them to optimize their performance and achieve efficient information management and reporting. Joyce also conducted analysis to streamline paperwork and increase profits.
In 1999, Joyce and her business partner Amy founded Affordable Bookkeeping. Through her years of service, Joyce realized her desire to help businesses evaluate and analyse their plans for success. Her previous experience proved to be helpful when working with businesses in different industries. In 2000, Joyce was named in the International Who's Who of Entrepreneurs.

Before coming to Affordable Bookkeeping, Rita worked at Delmarva Oil for 14 years. In November of 2000, Rita Plaskon joined our team at Affordable Bookkeeping and immediately assumed a supervisory role. She currently supervises a team of 5 and has gained loyalty, respect and admiration from everyone in the office. Rita provides training in time management, client relations and extreme accuracy. We always have fun when Rita’s around but make no mistake, Rita demands the highest level of efficiency from her staff. Rita is the perfect role model to help employees achieve greater goals.
While at Affordable Bookkeeping, Rita has handled a higher than average number of clients with consistency and she is excellent at multitasking. Corrinne Witzke Martin graduated with High Honors from Wor-Wic Community College with a degree in Accounting. Corrine sharpened her skills by working as a bookkeeper for the Worcester County Board of Elections during the 2007 Presidential election. She also interned at Whayland Company. In September 2011, Corrine joined Affordable Bookkeeping team. Her previous management positions has left her with strong organizational skills and an aptitude form maximizing productivity. Lori Hazel began her career with Affordable Bookkeeping Corporation in May of 2006 and is glad to be back after living in Florida for the past few years. Prior to her employment here, Lori was employed by Tri-State Insulation, Inc. as their bookkeeper for eight years. Lori’s demand for accuracy and efficiency ensures quality bookkeeping for current clients as well as future clients.
Lori’s pride and joy is her son Shane who is a weather forecaster for the United States Air Force. In her spare time she enjoys going to the beach, traveling and attending Emmanuel Wesleyan Church where she is a member.

Carol Tucker Jones started out her career with Affordable Bookkeeping in Nov 2001. She graduated from Wor-Wic Community College in May 2004, a member of Phi Theta Kappa – an honor society, on the Dean’s List and awarded ‘Who’s Who Among College Students 2004.’ Carol moved to Texas in 2004 and continued her career moving into the manufacturing industry as Accounts Payable/Fixed Assets Mgr.
Later she became the Administrative Manager for two restaurants, a property management company and a Real Estate office. She expanded her knowledge through experience in human resources, employee benefit packages, marketing and training. Carol was responsible for training the managers of the real estate and property management companies on Quickbooks and re-structuring daily functions in the multi-business office to increase time management and work efficiencies. While still working full time Carol began her own bookkeeping business. Carol did the accounting for nine companies, in both retail and service industries.
Carol lives in the DFW area of Texas and manages the Texas branch of Affordable Bookkeeping. One of Carol’s strongest assets is her ability to clean up a GL and get items reconciled. Through her experience and knowledge, Carol brings skills in accounting and human resources that she enjoys using to help others make their company the most successful it can be!
